Job Board/Mission Map: clicking on a world should default to new missions. Sending this to the bottom left scrolling feed would be fine but again, nobody reads it anyway so it’s really completely unnecessary information. Again, most of the time, a glance at the map should be enough to tell you when and where you have bounties to collect. Once isn’t really a big deal but it can happen a half dozen times in the middle of a battle. This happens often at the height of the action, stopping gameplay utterly, requiring the player to remove hands from the keyboard, change focus, hit ENTER/MOUSE CLICK then refocus. On Bounty Missions: When a bounty ship is destroyed don’t display a pop-up. On ‘broken jump drive’ missions this ‘feature’ leads to the absurdity of arriving at a planet with several broken jump drive missions in the queue bearing a broken jump drive and being told by the pop-up that you don’t have a broken jump drive then a crew comes along and picks up a broken jump drive. A more discrete placement, something that disappears after a couple seconds – like the events feed at the bottom left - would be enough. The pop-up completely stops and covers up gameplay and interrupts thought and GUI interaction needlessly. A simple glance at the map will tell you that. It’s annoying in the extreme, not in the least bit useful and, yeah, we get it, there are still more ships out there to blow up. Get rid of the pop up that reminds players of outstanding missions, particularly Bounty Missions, when entering a world. We can tell the marauder missions just by looking at the map. Yes, some missions are highlighted but inconsistently, other’s aren’t. There can be hundreds and it becomes nearly impossible to find other kinds of missions, especially time sensitive ones. On Bounty Missions: Remove all bounty marauder missions from the right hand mission list. Problem is ALL of the players’ ships are likewise marked. Yes, I know about the ‘Highlight Player Flagship’ setting. And yes, I know about the ALT button.Ī “stop” button or some kind of thruster add-on that prevents your ship from sliding past each destination planet.ĭistinctive colouring/marking on the control ship distinguishing it in a large fleet, especially when many ships are of the same kind. It gets incredibly tedious as set up now. Here are a bunch of suggestions that would reduce confusion, needless GUI interaction and annoyance IMHO.Ī “Sell All” button for selling outfits from cargo.
